The blast has reportedly taken place in Al-Sadr City, in the Al-Habibiya district.
More than a dozen people were injured in the blast and three cars have been burnt.
As reported, four people have lost their lives and 17 have been injured in the blast.
Primary reports say that the bomb set in a sedan has blasted.
